Integrated Security Model
These three mechanisms work together to create APOLLO's security framework. EDRA provides distributed storage, the two-way peg ensures value integrity, and MPC delivers cryptographic protection. This combination enables Bitcoin holders to access Solana DeFi with institutional-grade security while maintaining complete control over their assets.
APOLLO assigns each user a unique deposit address that becomes part of a distributed Bitcoin consensus network. Rather than storing all Bitcoin in a single location, the EDRA system spreads Bitcoin across multiple addresses, creating a resilient network where your deposit address balance may change as Bitcoin flows through the system for optimal security and operations.
Every zBTC token maintains a perfect 1:1 relationship with Bitcoin through transparent, verifiable reserves. Users can deposit Bitcoin to mint zBTC or burn zBTC to redeem native Bitcoin at any time. This bidirectional flow is secured through real-time reserve verification via Chainlink Proof of Reserve, ensuring every zBTC is always backed by real Bitcoin.
All Bitcoin operations are protected by ZeusNode Guardians using advanced MPC technology. Private keys are distributed across multiple Guardian nodes, requiring threshold consensus for any Bitcoin movement. This eliminates single points of failure while maintaining the permissionless nature of the system - no single entity can control or compromise user funds.
