2-Way Peg
A 2-Way Peg (2WP) is a cryptographic protocol enabling bidirectional BTC ↔ zBTC conversion at a fixed 1:1 ratio through automated locking and unlocking mechanisms.
How APOLLO's 2WP Works
Bitcoin → zBTC (Deposit):
You send Bitcoin to your EDRA address
Distributed guardians verify and lock your Bitcoin
The system automatically mints the same amount of zBTC
zBTC appears in your Solana wallet
zBTC → Bitcoin (Withdrawal):
You burn/destroy your zBTC tokens
The system automatically releases equivalent Bitcoin from reserves
Bitcoin gets sent to your specified address
Why It's "Trustless":
No promises required - everything is automated by code
Fully transparent - you can verify all locked Bitcoin on the blockchain
No central authority - distributed guardians operate the system
Mathematically guaranteed - can't create more zBTC than Bitcoin backing it
